Aroma Joe’s Customer Experience & Barista Training Program

Introduction

This is an interactive training program designed to standardize customer engagement, beverage preparation, and brand consistency across Aroma Joe’s locations.

This portfolio section showcases three interactive modules developed as part of the course.

The Challenge

Aroma Joe’s needed a structured training solution that aligned team members with brand standards across customer interaction, product preparation, and employee presentation.
The challenge was to transform operational expectations into engaging, interactive learning experiences that reflected the brand’s energetic identity while ensuring consistent results across locations.

General Learning Objectives

The learning objectives were created to align with the client’s training needs and were divided into three key areas:

Beverage Preparation

  • Apply standard beverage preparation techniques to ensure quality and consistency.

Professional Standards

  • Demonstrate proper brand alignment through appearance, conduct, and workplace readiness.

Customer Engagement

  • Interact effectively with customers, delivering a positive and consistent brand experience.

Solution

The solution is a learning program composed of three courses, each targeting a key area: professional standards, beverage preparation and customer engagement. This portfolio section highlights one module from each course to showcase the approach, design, and interactivity across the program:

1. Beverage Preparation

A hands-on skills module guiding learners through espresso extraction, milk steaming, and preparation of beverages such as cappuccinos and other specialty drinks. Interactive steps reinforce correct technique and quality standards.

2. Employee Dress Code

A drag-and-drop interactive activity where learners select appropriate work attire, reinforcing brand consistency.

3. Customer Engagement

Scenario-based training where learners navigate customer interactions, including drive-thru situations with customers arriving by car. Learners practice how to talk to clients.
